As a kid growing up in a single family home my mother always thought me how to provide for myself, and thought me many ways of how I would need to do so. One of the most important skills that she pushed was the ability to cook for myself. For me this came easy however, for my two older brothers, which was one task that they seem to of not wanted to pick up. They figured “Hey mom, I will get my good wife and she will cook for me”.

That is where they went wrong my mom said and she was happy that one of her sons’ took the passion of cooking and loved it. I also had an influence by my father, as well he is the one who thought me how to elevate my game of cooking and moved it to the grill. I actually prefer cooking on the grill is much more health than frying, baking, and many other ways of cooking.

As a kid being in the kitchen with my mom and helping her prepare all the meals was actually fun and exciting, for my mom it was very special for her as well because she knew that I was getting older by the second, and cooking is something that kept her baby close to her… Yes I’m the youngest son… the baby… yea yea yeah…. As I continue to get older so did my skills in the kitchen, I soon no longer needed mothers’ supervision and I was soon making meals for the house to give my mother a break. I actually enjoyed feeding the house and being able to take a load off my mom because I can see it in her face that it was not easy to do all that she does so well. I became great a cooking and I thought to myself “ I love cooking, I also love playing football, I got the best idea yet”. I made a plan. I’m going to make it to the NFL and then save enough money to make a restaurant, not just any restaurant, but a restaurant that someone is going to want to come again and again. I promise my Sauce that I learned to make will keep them coming back as well as the sauce “Swagger” as a person will keep them smiling and feel welcomed.

The store that I go which has been very great for me is Meijer’s. Normally in my mother’s home, she would go different places to go shop and I would go with her. However, I am on my own now and I have to look for great deals at different stores in Ann Arbor and it seem that Meijer’s is the best fit for me. The benefits that I get from going shopping at Meijer’s is that I get great deals on the different foods that I want to cook and also Meijer’s is down the street from me so this also gives the idea of convenience. This gives me the satisfaction of being able to buy all that I want also not spending as much money as you would at other stores (Babbins/Harris, 28)
Meijer’s brings utilitarian value for me because they solve the problem of high pricing, as well as having a wide variety of foods to pick from that is very healthy as fitting for me (Babbins/Harris, 29). Growing up my mom made sure that I ate my vegetables as well as the meats that she provided, and now that I am on my own she knows that I will be eating great as well as choosing the right foods to cook because of the experiences that she gave me.
Shopping at Meijer’s gives me the opportunity to get all the things that I want. Being a great cook is something I take very seriously and once I am done with what I made I feel happy about it. Knowing that people love your cooking is also a great feeling as well. Cooking brings me a hedonic value because this allows me to satisfied, as well as joyful that I have made something great to eat. (Babbins/Harris, 29)

If you’re into cooking or want to learn I can defiantly give you some pointers.
